Confidentiality Statement
Inspire and Empower School Counselors will make every effort to keep information shared by students, parents/caretakers, learning coaches, community stakeholders, teachers, and support staff private and confidential, unless information results in the possibility of a student's (or other vulnerable person's) safety being at risk. In this case, appropriate local authorities must be notified for the student or others' safety.
Confidentiality means “what you say here, stays here” unless:

- Someone is seriously hurting you (or seriously hurting a vulnerable person that cannot defend themselves).
- You want to seriously hurt someone or yourself.
- You give me permission to share with a trusted adult.
- I am asked to testify in a court of law or to other legal authorities.
